April Bulletin 2015
1st April 2015

Hi everyone welcome back to club following the Easter break. Trust all made good use of their 4 day break in one way or another and not too many kilo’s gained by those with a sweet tooth. By-the-way with the new month with us hopefully not too many got caught out with April 1st pranks.
April, autumn, chilly weather. It is a reminder to us all that winter is not too far off and our furry friends will need a little more attention especially those with age and arthritis. Also, this does remind us that prior to training our dogs need to be given a warm-up by jogging them around the field. Enjoy your winter training and do rug up, the flu is never kind.
Whilst on the health and well-being of our canine friends don’t forget you can purchase most pet medications through the club at a good price. Add your name and the required medication to the form which resides on the desk in the club room. Should you need any information concerning your order please have a chat to Miri or Mark who will advise you on product and price.
Here is a snippet of club trivia for you. Did you know that one of our senior club members is edging towards 76 plus years of age. Yep, Peter thoroughly enjoys coming along to training a couple of times a week with his little poodle mate Jet. Between them they have chalked up numerous placings at local competitions and the Grand Prix meets. Pete and his wife Fran are also lawn bowl fanatics competing at weekly events.
Pint-size Redcliffe Peninsula school student Amy Bartkowski is our youngest competing member. At just 13 years of age and touted to have big future in the sport of agility Amy and her black and white border collie, Gidget, have skipped through the competition grades with ease and now showing good form in the open events. Amy and Gidget received high appraisal from veterans of the sport following their magic performance at last year’s Grand Prix in Tamworth. Amy also enjoys playing competitive netball.
